Renegade 描述與有心理疾病的人在一起，即便能夠同理對方情境，但心情依然感到很沮喪的一首歌，歌曲靈感可能來自於 Tay 與 Joe Alwyn 在一起的這段時光，因為網路霸凌與謠言纏身，Tay 有一陣子非常的負面，但 Joe 依然在她身邊不離不棄（所以這首歌像是模擬Joe的心情），在Lover專輯中有一首歌《The archer》暗示Tay的心理黑暗
